Liyang Enterprises Break the "Bottleneck" of Traction Technology and Solve the "Stuck Neck" Dilemma

In key fields and industries such as information and communication, high-end equipment, industrial basic materials, and aerospace, there are some technological shortcomings in China. Solving the shortcomings is a hurdle that must be overcome to accelerate the construction of technology enterprises. The Liyang Generalized Traction Technology Research Institute has solved the bottleneck constraints of key core technologies for locomotive traction through independent innovation, and improved the market competitiveness of its products.

Technical demonstration

Recently, at the Jiangsu Zhongguancun Sugao New Nanda Innovation Park, technicians from Jiangsu Generalized Traction Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd. are conducting performance tests on the "traction module" control system of the HXD3B locomotive.

The technical personnel of Jiangsu Generalized Traction Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd. introduced that: We have made some upgrades to the components, replacing the original low-level components with the latest high-grade materials and replacing them with automotive or military grade chips. Some products with slightly inferior performance have undergone a series of upgrades, and then we conducted some double pulse, one-to-one comparison experiments, including performance. Its overall performance, including functional integrity, is superior to the original imported products

Just over a month ago, the traction module project developed by the Generalized Traction Technology Research Institute passed the A-level acceptance review by experts from relevant units such as the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, Beijing Jiaotong University, and China Railway Beijing Bureau Group.

Zhou Hongbing, General Manager of Jiangsu Generalized Traction Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd., stated that the acceptance level A is equivalent to a 100 or 99 percentage point system.

It is understood that the HXD3B locomotive is a model jointly designed by CRRC Dalian Locomotive and Rolling Stock Company and Bombardier. Although the traction, auxiliary, and control systems of this model have been localized in the Bombardier joint venture, the core technology has always been in the hands of foreign parties. After entering advanced maintenance, the timeliness and economy of maintenance parts cannot be guaranteed. The HXD3B locomotive "traction module" project took five years from research and development to acceptance, which not only improved the company's research and development capabilities, but also provided China Railway with the option of a backup material supplier, This means that the "bottleneck" project has achieved an important breakthrough: "For our company, passing the project acceptance is to obtain the ticket of China Railway Group, and in the future, we can provide maintenance and replacement services to China Railway Group, because China Railway Group has a requirement to do independent maintenance. The bottleneck of independent maintenance lies in our area, and after our successful research and development, China Railway Group will become even more powerful

Generalized traction was established in 2013. The company's products and technologies are applied to traction systems for mobile equipment such as rail vehicles, special vehicles, and electric drive ships, as well as engineering drive fields such as oil and ports. Currently, the company has independent intellectual property rights, masters the core technology of traction and control systems, and has achieved multiple invention trains. The company's products have been successfully applied domestically and internationally.
